A digital champion is someone who is not a teacher but who can help you learn about digital skills.
It could be a librarian, a maintenance worker, a friend or a young person. Rather than teaching, they wait for a “hook”, an engagement opportunity. Maybe the person wants to keep in touch with relatives back home or wishes they could save money shopping online. Chance conversations or orchestrated interventions, the champion then uses the resources and skills they have to support the individual or group to learn .
